Venue Information

Our venue is loacted in Maidstone town centre near to the Hazlitt Theatre. There is no direct parking available outside our venue but the nearest car park is Fremlin Walk, we are just a few minutes' walk away.

Venue address: The Little Princess Shop & Salon - Unit 10 The Corn Exchange, Market Buildings, Maidstone, ME14 1HP.

Directions: The venue is situated inside The Corn Exchange Building, Market Buildings is the road name, it runs between the Hazlitt Theatre and Rymans, and you will find us on the left-hand side just past The Maidstone Distillery and opposite the entrance to The Royal Star Arcade.

Please ensure you arrive on time for your booking, we ask that you do not arrive early as we may have had parties in beforehand so will need time to clean up and re-set for your booking. We will be ready to let you in at your party start time. We would also kindly ask that you leave your party promptly to allow us time to clean up ready for our next booking.

If you arrive late then we will do our best to make up the time however if we have another booking then we may need to make adjustments to the party schedule.

Information to help with the planning of your party

We have limited space for adults inside our venue. A small amount of seating will be available for adults inside the party rooms with additional space available in our shop/cafe area. Where possible we would ask that is is only one parent per guest and no siblings, with exception of the birthday girls parents.

Please be aware that we operate a multiple booking system so there may be other clients in the venue using other party rooms whilst your party is going on. Should you wish to have exclusive use of the venue then a supplement would apply, this must be requested at the time of booking and is subject to availability.

Please see your package details for our maximum number allowance for the package that you have booked as we may not be able to accommodate additional guests on the day.

Spa parties are suitable for children aged 5-11 years. pampering will be held in our spa pamper room and the afternoon tea will take place on our mezzanine level.

Princess parties are suitable for children ages 4-7 years. Younger children are welcome to attend at your discretion. We have a special pre-school package available on weekdays which is more suited to little ones.

Children’s afternoon tea includes cheese and ham finger sandwiches, crisps, cakes and biscuits. We can cater for dairy and gluten allergies but for more severe allergies we suggest that the child brings a packaged lunch with them. A deluxe version of our afternoon tea is available at an additional cost. We require at least one weeks notice for any upgrades or dietary requirements.

There is no room for prams or pushchairs inside the venue, these can be left outside undercover. We are wheelchair accessible, however we would ask that you let us know in advance if this will be needed.

Tea, coffee and cold drinks are available to purchase in our cafe area. Please note that our shop and cafe will be open to the public so the responsibility of the children is down to the parent/organiser.

There is a small table for your birthday cake and party bags. Please remember to bring along candles and napkins on the day and note that party bags are not included in your package unless requested as an add on. There will also be a small table for the birthday presents. Free standing helium balloons are permitted but we are not able to attach anything to our walls such as banners and we don’t allow any loose balloons on the floor or pinatas.

Craft for Princess Parties will be allocated dependent on age and numbers as well as stock availability. Examples of what we may provide are: Tiara, mirror or wand decorating, bracelet making, colouring, sticking, playdough or scratch art. If you have any requests, please provide at least two weeks notice and we will do our best to fulfil your needs.

We do not have space to accommodate any food for adults so would ask that you don’t bring any along.

It is the responsibility of the party host to ensure that the children are supervised at all times. We are not responsible for the safety of the children.

Any child with unacceptable or boisterous behavior may be asked to leave the party room. Any breakages will be the responsibility of the party host and may be charged.

Product Information

If your child is know to show a reaction to cosmetic products then please make our staff aware at the start of your party so they can check the product ingredients for you.

Food Allergies

Details on any food allergies must be given to us prior to your party. We will not be able to accommodate specific dietary requirements on the day. Should we be unable to cater for specific dietary needs then you may be asked to supply your own food for this guest.

Pamper Treatments​

Our party packages and experiences may contain all or some of the following treatments; foot spa and nail painting, manicure, face mask, glitter tattoo, make up, face painting, hair styling (no heat). It is the responsibility of the party host to ensure that all guests parents/guardians are aware that these will be taking place and advise us of any children that are unable to have any of the treatments. Please check your package for details on the treatments that relate to your party.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes our entertainment is suitable for boys however our packages do contain pamper treatments, which some boys may not want to have done. We can offer glitter tattoos face painting for boys (if applicable with your package).

  • Our venue can accommodate a maximum of 20 children for a princess party and 10 for a spa party.

    The venue has limited space for adults so we would encourage you to ask that children are dropped off where possible.

  • No. Most children come in their own dressing up dresses, the dresses at our venue are only available to purchase.

  • Yes, we have a cake table with a cake stand for you to use as well as a knife for cutting the cake. Please remember to bring along napkins and candles on the day.

  • No, unfortunately we do not sell any food for adults and due to space restrictions would kindly ask that you don’t bring any along.

  • Yes, we have hot and cold drinks available to purchase at both venues.

  • We have a set menu for the children’s afternoon tea, this consists of cheese and ham finger sandwiches, crisps, mini doughnut, cupcake, and a biscuit selection. Juice or water will be served in the tea pots.

  • There is no direct parking outside the venue, the nearest car park is Fremlin Walk and we are a few minutes walk away.

  • We ask that you do not arrive early for your party as will not be able to let you in until your party start time.

  • The venue is already beautifully decorated but you are welcome to bring in a free standing helium balloon if you wish.

    We are unable to attach anything to our walls such as banners or have any loose balloons on the floor.

  • Party bags are not included in your package but can be requested as an ‘add on’, these are £3.95 per child.
