Good to know

Everything you need for a smooth party day

Where to park, when to arrive, what's in the afternoon tea and every question parents ask - all in one place.

Before you set off

Four things that make the day easier

The little practicalities, sorted before you leave home.

Parking

There's no parking directly outside - the nearest car park is Fremlin Walk, just a few minutes' walk away.

Arrive on time

We'll be ready to welcome you at your party start time - please don't arrive early, and leave promptly so we can reset for the next booking.

Accessibility

We're wheelchair accessible - just let us know in advance. Prams and pushchairs can be left outside undercover.

Space for grown-ups

Seating for adults is limited, so where possible it's one parent per guest and no siblings - the birthday girl's family excepted.

A quick once-over before the big day

Everything the party host needs to remember, in one list.

Cake corner, ready

We provide a cake table, stand and knife - just remember your own candles and napkins on the day.

Balloons, not banners

Free-standing helium balloons are welcome. We can't attach anything to the walls, and no loose balloons or pinatas.

Party bags

Not included as standard - add them on at £3.95 per child when you book.

The afternoon tea

Cheese and ham finger sandwiches, crisps, a mini doughnut, cupcake and a biscuit selection, with juice or water served in the teapots.

Allergies, sorted early

Tell us about dietary needs at least a week ahead. We can cater for dairy and gluten allergies - for more severe allergies a packed lunch from home is safest.

Grown-ups in charge

Children stay the responsibility of the party host throughout. Tea, coffee and cold drinks are available for adults to buy.

Good to know

The small print, in plain English

We operate a multiple booking system, so other parties may be using other rooms while yours is on. Exclusive use of the venue is available as a supplement - request it when you book, subject to availability.

Crafts for Princess Parties are allocated by age, numbers and stock - think tiara, mirror or wand decorating, bracelet making, colouring or scratch art. Special requests need at least two weeks' notice and we'll do our best.

Pamper treatments may include foot spa and nail painting, manicure, face mask, glitter tattoos, make-up, face painting and no-heat hair styling. Please make sure every guest's parent knows what's planned, and tell us at the start about any child who can't have a treatment or has a known sensitivity to cosmetic products.

And a small serious one: children remain the responsibility of the party host at all times, boisterous behaviour may mean a child is asked to leave the party room, and any breakages may be charged.

Frequently asked questions

Are your packages suitable for boys?

Our packages are aimed at girls. We don't offer any alternative options for boys other than what is listed within your package.

How many children can come to my party?

Our Princess Parties can accommodate up to 12 children and our Spa Parties up to 10. With exclusive use of the venue we can have up to 18 children. The venue has limited space for adults, so we'd encourage children to be dropped off where possible.

Do you provide dresses for the children to wear?

No - most children come in their own dressing-up dresses. The dresses at our venue are only available to purchase.

Can I bring a birthday cake?

Yes - we have a cake table with a cake stand for you to use, as well as a knife for cutting the cake. Please remember to bring napkins and candles on the day.

Do you provide food for adults, or can I bring my own?

No - unfortunately we don't sell any food for adults, and due to space restrictions we'd kindly ask that you don't bring any along.

Are drinks available for adults?

Yes - we have hot and cold drinks available to purchase.

What is included in the children's afternoon tea?

We have a set menu: cheese and ham finger sandwiches, crisps, a mini doughnut, a cupcake and a biscuit selection. Juice or water is served in the teapots.

Can I park outside?

There's no direct parking outside the venue - the nearest car park is Fremlin Walk, and we're a few minutes' walk away.

Can I come into the venue early?

We ask that you don't arrive early - we may have a party in beforehand and need time to clean and reset, so we'll let you in at your party start time. If you arrive late we'll do our best to make up the time, though we may need to adjust the schedule if there's another booking.

Can I bring decorations?

The venue is already beautifully decorated, but you're welcome to bring a free-standing helium balloon. We can't attach anything to the walls (such as banners), and loose balloons on the floor aren't allowed.

Do you provide party bags?

Party bags aren't included in your package, but can be requested as an add-on at £3.95 per child.
